Procurement team recognised for social impact

We are delighted to share the news that The University of Edinburgh Procurement Team has been shortlisted for Scotland GO Awards in the categories of Social Value and also Covid-19 response.

The entries reflect work done to support vital research, NHS testing, help the University navigate the economic impact of COVID and also to ensure positive outcomes with partners like Electronics Watch.

They also reflect work with Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal and Data-Driven Innovation Initiative to develop inclusive growth procurement and community wealth building strategies, as well as to engage students and academics to build capacity to address climate action via procurement.

 

Partners have included Social Responsibility & SustainabilityEdinburgh Centre for Carbon InnovationCapital City Partnership, and supplier partners like Balfour Beatty, Robertson, Inoapps and European Electronique, to name just a few.

The Procurement team also received an honourable mention at the Procura awards, a similar initiave, which is the team's first international honour.
