The team is merged from the former Management and Financial Accounting Teams. The team covers the below main functions: Planning Budgeting & Reporting The team are responsible for the finance elements of the annual planning and budget process and producing management accounts and forecast reports. Analysis and Insight Responsible for providing analysis and insight on outputs produced from the Transparent Model, Ten Year Forecasts and the annual TRAC submission to government. Financial Control and Subsidiary Reporting Reconciliation of key Balance Sheet control accounts. Liaising with subsidiary accountants on key financial accounting matters and year end consolidation. Investments and Endowments We provide accounting and reports for investments, liaising with investment consultants, fund managers, individual endowment fund-holders and the Investment Committee. Statutory Reporting, Audit and Policy Responsible for completion of audited financial statements, including US GAAP and other statutory financial returns. Capital Accounting The capital (fixed asset) accounting team are responsible for ensuring the correct accounting of the University’s capital grants and capital expenditure.
