Once you secure your Colfuturo loan, then it is your responsibility to pay for your student academic fees by choosing to set up an instalment plan, pay by card or bank transfer. How we process a Colfuturo loan Once you secure your loan, you need to follow the steps provided so that you receive your funding in time for the start of your programme.The exact amount of student academic fees you owe will be displayed during the online registration process. If your loan does not cover the full amount of your student academic fees, then you must pay the rest. You are responsible for using this funding to pay your student academic fees to the University. You are also responsible for any student academic fees not covered by your funding. Register online as a student and arrange payment of your student academic feesAs part of matriculation, you will need to complete online student registration and either confirm your funding or arrange payment of your student academic fees. This is a required step in the registration process, and in most cases, you will be able to pay in instalments.How to complete your student registration You will receive an email to your University of Edinburgh email account to let you know when you can access the online student registration form and pay your student academic fees. As part of the process, you will need to confirm whether you have an international educational loan and choose to either pay in full or by instalments. Payments can be made by credit or debit card, Flywire bank transfer, or online payment platform or by setting up an instalment plan.Payment optionsTo pay in instalments you will need to provide card details and other information, including the cardholder’s address. We will use the card details you provide to set up an instalment plan and take payment on scheduled dates. If you choose to pay your student academic fees by instalments, then you can pay by two equal instalments throughout the academic year. 50% of your student academic fees will be taken on 3 November50% of your student academic fees will be taken on 3 April Instalment dates will be displayed during online student registration for reference. These dates may change if your plan cannot be set up before the first payment is due. If this happens, we will email you and the revised payment schedule will appear in My Finance channel in MyEd. HTML Pay your tuition fees by instalment Pay your tuition fees in one payment Send us your loan payment schedule (if the dates are different) If you notice the instalment dates shown in online registration are different from the ones given by your loan provider, you must send your loan payment schedule to Finance Helpline. Email Finance Helpline Once you have registered and your invoice has been issued, your instalment plan will be set up and the payment dates and amounts will appear in My finance, usually within one working day.Do not make any other form of payment method against this instalment seven days prior to its due date to prevent being charged twice.Or Pay in full You can pay in full during online registration using a credit or debit card, by Flywire bank transfer or an online payment platform.If, after registering, you decide to pay your student academic fees in full instead of instalments, you can do so through My Finance channel in MyEd.Do not make any other form of payment method against an existing instalment seven days prior to its due date to prevent being charged twice.Check My finance You can find a record of your invoice and any fee payments in My finance. If this occurs, be sure to deduct the deposit amount from your student academic fees total to avoid overpayment.If you have other fees to payYou may need to pay other fees for your programme (for example, module fees or dissertation fees). You will be asked to share details about your situation and, if possible, suggest a revised payment plan. You will also need to provide evidence of your circumstances.We will review your case carefully and work with you to find the best way forward. We do appreciate that financial difficulties can be very distressing however this does not mean that we are in a position to accommodate all alternative payment schedules proposed to us. Where this is the case, you will be asked to give the matter further thought and to work with us to achieve an acceptable outcome.
