This type of postgraduate funding is paid directly to the University. We will invoice you for any remaining fees not covered by the loan. If you have applied to SAAS or Student Finance Northern Ireland for a masters degree loan and been granted funding, all tuition fees covered by the funding will be paid directly to the University. You will be sent an invoice for this amount at the start of your programme, once you have registered as a student. How to complete your student registration Make your payment Once you have filled out the form, you can: pay by instalment by setting up a Recurring Card Payment (RCP) so we can take payments on fixed dates throughout the academic year or make one payment If you set up a Recurring Card Payment (RCP) To set up your Recurring Card Payment, you’ll need to complete a form and give the details of the card you want to use. Our team will confirm your payment plan once you have completed the form and an invoice has been issued for your student account. You’ll be sent confirmation of your payment plan and the amounts that will be taken. Please note: August to October is the busiest time for issuing invoices, so it may take several weeks for your payment plan to be confirmed. For postgraduate students with a UK government loan, RCP instalments come out on 3 fixed dates: 33% of your fees will be taken on 3 October 33% of your fees will be taken on 3 February 34% of your fees will be taken on 3 May Please note, this is different to the standard RCP schedule that you will see on the main RCP page. Pay your tuition fees by instalment If you make one payment You can make your payment with a credit or debit card, by bank transfer, or using an online payment platform. We advise that you wait to pay until you receive an invoice showing your remaining fees. This will ensure that you pay the right amount. If you have a loan for living costs If you wish, you can use this loan to pay for your remaining tuition fees. Please note, if you have opted to set up an RCP, you will not be allowed to change your payment dates to match your living costs loan schedule. Dissertation fees and postgraduate research costs Dissertation fees and postgraduate research costs can be paid as part of your instalment plan. If you have paid a deposit If you have paid a deposit towards your programme, this will be deducted from the total amount of fees you have to pay. Your deposit will not appear on your invoice. If you pay your deposit early in the year, there may be a delay before this shows on your student account. If you pay your tuition fees in one payment, make sure you deduct the deposit from the total amount. If you pay with RCP, the deposit will automatically be deducted from your 3 instalments.
