As a Finance community, we support our colleagues and the whole institution with the successful delivery of the University’s academic mission in a number of ways. This month, we’re taking a look at Team Finance’s role in an incredibly exciting project, FASTBLADE.

We are delighted to announce that Team Finance are the 2020 winners of the Public Finance Awards in the category of Achievement in Financial Reporting and Accountability!

Our interview this month is with Stuart McLean from the Procurement Office. Stuart is leaving the University after 30 years of service, so we caught up with him to catch his parting wisdom. All the best for the future, and thank you for everything, Stuart!

2019/20 has been an exceptional year for our University. Within Edinburgh Research Office, the response to the Covid-19 pandemic came at a time when we were embedding change, adapting to new structures and striving to deliver the best service for our researchers. 

We are delighted to share the news that The University of Edinburgh Procurement Team has been shortlisted for Scotland GO Awards in the categories of Social Value and also Covid-19 response.

International Fraud Awareness Week 2020 will be taking place 16-22 November this year, and there are lots of events and activities to attend to increase your awareness and understanding of fraud.
