We have recently adopted the APUC Courier Services framework. APUC Courier Services  provides the University with access to courier services in the following areas;

Consultancy

Please continue to follow the guidance when procuring consultants under £50k over the contracted period. In particular, the clarified guidance around IR35 (HMRC tax regulation). When completing the form please respond regarding the role as it would be outside of COVID. This is to determine 'type f' role rather than current temporary circumstance.

 

Office Depot

Office Depot are providing their usual service to University buildings however if special access arrangements are needed due to Covid19 restrictions please advise at the time of ordering. All orders should as agreed be via SciQuest. Any deliveries for home addresses should be avoided as far as possible and discussed with Office Depot prior to any order being placed.

Taxi

Central Taxis are still operating as usual, and are available to transporting single people, equipment or files as required. These type of taxis are generally deemed safest route of public travel due to screens, automatic doors, easy wipe cabins that are being sanitised after every journey.

They are also supporting the NHS in terms of transportation to testing centres.

 

Travel

Please follow the University of Edinburgh guidance on business travel which can be found here.

Key Travel, our travel management supplier are still operating, although with a reduced team having furloughed the account management and group bookings teams. Agents are still available to deal with any amendments or cancellations to booking and have put a process in place on how best to do that in terms of contacting them.
