New starts and successes in Team Finance!

Over the last three months, we welcome lots of new faces to Team Finance, and celebrate exam successes and teams doing fantastic work across the finance community.

New starts in Team Finance

  • Michael Vaughan will be joining us as a Senior Buyer in the Estates team 

  • Iman Sharif will be joining us as a Senior Buyer in the IT and Telecoms team 

  • Courtney Red joined in Procurement (Professional & Campus Services team) as a Procurement Officer.  

  • Angela Wood joined Payroll as a Payroll Manager 

  • Mike Todd joined the Cash Office as a Cash Manager 

  • Kerry Richardson is the new Service Assurance Manager for Finance Operations  

  • Emma Zou, Marcin Glock & Stacey Thomson are our new Research Finance Specialists in the Research Grants Team 

  • Anna Lantouri, Research Grants Administrator, Research Grants Team    

  • Roy Wooley (Research BI Analyst), Kat Boczek (Contracts Administrator) and Carmen Soriano Grau (Contracts Officer) 

  • Robbie Young a Vet School Management Accountant 

  • Finance and Business graduate Laura Tokarska has joined Biology as Accounts Officer for 6 months

Exam successes and shout outs  

  • Sheryl Vickery in the CSE College Finance team has recently been confirmed as a fully qualified member of ACCA.

  • Jon Parry in ISG Finance has passed all his CIMA exams 

  • From the School of Biological Sciences in CSE, Katherine Malin-August (School Finance Manager) would like to give a shout out and massive thank you to the School of Biology Finance Team who have shown tremendous teamwork helping each other out during a time of staff shortages. The team have shown incredible flexibility and willingness to train in different functions across the finance team so they can cover for others beyond their own responsibilities. 

  • A shout out to Printing Services, who produced printed reports, banners and other materials for the recent Royal visit by the Queen and Princess Anne to ECCI on 1st July. 

  • The Pensions and Payroll teams are doing incredible under immense pressure whilst continuing to support the People and Money project 

  • Loukia Koutsoventi did an amazing job of leading the Research Research Grants team - thank you Loukia!
