The University of Edinburgh would like to warmly invite you, as colleagues dealing with the Finance Department to attend the annual Scottish Universities Finance Conference, which this year is being organised and hosted by the University of Edinburgh Finance Department. Representatives from Scottish universities are welcome. It will be held on 31st October 2018 at the John McIntyre Conference Centre at Pollock Halls, 18 Holyrood Park Rd, Edinburgh, EH16 5AY. This all-day conference boasts a bold and imaginative programme. With distinguished speakers, multiple exhibitors, excellent networking opportunities and plenty of refreshments throughout the day, the conference aims to provide inspirational discussions around current topics for the Higher Education community, as well as key functions and updates from the Finance Department at the University of Edinburgh. Key speakers, exhibitors and sponsors As well as an impressive range of internal and external exhibitors throughout the day, there will be key note addresses from Phil McNaull, Director of Finance, Dr Peter Mathieson, the next Principal of the University, and Hugh Edmiston, Director of Corporate Services, giving you the chance to hear updates from prominent members of staff about the future direction of the University. Multiple workshop options Attendees may choose from multiple workshops covering areas within Finance in the University setting, including how, at Edinburgh, we are focusing on socially responsible investments, how we are ensuring community benefit through our Procurement processes, and insight into why all human beings make mistakes and examples of what we can do to reduce error.
