Are your EU grant records up-to-date?

This month, colleagues from across the University, including members of the Finance Department, welcomed delegates from Osaka University in Japan.

Stuart Graham tells us about his new role as the Head of Financial Information, Reporting and Strategy team in the Finance Department and how his team help the University to achieve a level of financial performance that supports our strategic plans. And of course life outside work, where he is kept very busy with his 22 month old son!

We are delighted to announce the appointment of a Research Training Accountant to focus on the skills and knowledge needed to support the financial management of Research Grants.

Do you have trouble working out the VAT status of a research project?
We have a new web-based system for checking VAT on a research project. The system is known as the Research Liability Tool (RLT) and has been developed by KPMG as a guide to determining the correct VAT status of a research project.
