The Finance team at the University of Edinburgh have been recognised as ‘highly commendable’ in their 2017/2018 financial reporting. Image A panel of judges at the public Finance Awards 2019 recognised the team for delivering high quality, accessible and intelligible financial reporting that demonstrated a clear link between organisational strategy, performance monitoring and management. The team demonstrated through the accounts that they have delivered high quality financial reporting in line with accepted accounting principles that is accessible and readily understood by the public. The 2017/18 Annual Report and Accounts contained good quality content using an Integrated Reporting Framework, making information clear and concise, making organisational performance more transparent and accessible to scrutiny. Members of the Finance team had a great evening celebrating at the awards ceremony in London this month, and are pleased that hard work on the Annual Report and Accounts of the last few years has paid off. We were delighted to be officially recognised by the Public Finance Awards 2019 as a leader of high-quality, engaging and transparent financial reporting. We will continue to strive for World Class in this area of work.
