Antonia Hynd Procurement Officer, Professional and Campus Services team, Procurement Office, was invited by the Fair Trade Forum, to present at the National PROCUREX conference in October 2019 at the SECC Glasgow. Antonia outlined how the University approached Fair Working Practices in two recent procurements; Graduation Gown Hire and Digitisation of records. The key elements in both were to ensure transparency in the supply chain and acceptable working conditions and contracts of the individuals carrying out the work in off-shore locations.
