We are delighted to announce that Lee Hamill has been appointed as the University’s new Director of Finance.

Phil McNaull, Director of Finance scooped an award for Finance Director of the Year at the British Accountancy Awards 2018 on Wednesday 26 September 2018. 

We have made an innovative change in our financial reporting which begins in the new financial year starting August. This change has been planned collaboratively with all Finance teams across the University.

The new policy, Bank Online Payments, for making online CHAPS and Faster Payments was approved on 20th August. The policy applies to all staff of the University of Edinburgh and its subsidiary companies and to all expenditure.

The upgrade of eFinancials to version 5 is planned to go live in November.
