eFinancials Locker Update The Historical Data Locker will be available from June 4th. From the 18th June core legacy finance applications (eFinancials and Webfirst) will no longer be available via the normal routes and instead will be available via the Historical Data Locker. Users who have requested a licence to continue to access the legacy finance systems in the Historical Data Locker will be sent full guidance on how to access them from the Unidesk call related to their licence request. What is it? As part of the Historical Data Storage Project (COR007c) an eFinancials locker has been set up to create a secure and locked-down environment containing the core legacy finance applications, for continued read-only access. This will ensure historical data can still be accessed for the purposes of satisfying legal, audit and compliance requirements. What legacy finance systems are moving to the locker? eFinancials - https://efinancials.fin.ed.ac.uk/forms/frmservlet?config=efin50 Paperclip - (punchout from eFinancials) Serengeti - (punchout from eFinancials) WebFirst - https://www.webfirst.fin.ed.ac.uk eIT (restricted to Finance Systems) eTime TBC (restricted to Finance Systems and Research) How is the locker accessed? A Windows Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) Server has been built. This server will be accessible via RDP from within the University network and from the University VPN service. When is the change happening? Final configuration work is currently in progress. Once UAT has been signed off the new eFin Locker will go LIVE, it is anticipated this will be mid to late May 2024. What do I need to do to? Please complete the eFin Locker Access Request Form for consideration. Note that there is a restriction on the number of licences available to access the RDP server and these will need to be spread across all areas of UOE. Therefore where multiple requests are received for the same area not all requests will be granted and specific users will need to be nominated. eFin Locker Access Request Form Finance Systems Logins Links to logins to the Finance Systems All Finance systems can be accessed individually using the system links.
