We hosted a CBI lunch event at the Bayes Centre that brought together prominent industry leaders, including Minister for Finance, Economy and Fair Work, Derek MacKay MSP. Following a welcome from our Director of Finance Lee Hamill and other introductory remarks, the event focussed on a discussion of current affairs, namely what the government can do to support business investment in light of Brexit, as well as looking ahead to the Scottish Budget. Another key topic was how firms can best measure their productivity and act on it. Other prominent figures in attendance included Tracy Black, Director, CBI Scotland and Alexander Garden, Scottish Technical Chair, Chartered Institute of Taxation.
